Tenovos Starts 2022 with Strong Momentum, Executive Team Hires, and New Capabilities

By Press Releases

Leading brands continue to choose the company’s data-first DAM platform, fueling major growth across the business

New York – February 10, 2022Tenovos, provider of intuitive, data-first Digital Asset Management (DAM) software, has doubled its revenue in 2021, fueled by the continued rapid adoption of its platform by major leading enterprise brands. Tenovos begins the year with a strong team that is reinforced by key strategic leadership hires, and an updated brand that reflects its mission to help users streamline and automate the traditional complexities of creating and activating global content.

“This is an exciting time to be in the DAM space,” said D. Scott Bowen, CEO of Tenovos. “We’re seeing a renaissance in the market, fueled by increasing awareness on the part of large enterprise businesses that content needs to be treated as a first-class citizen – they’re expecting much more now from their DAM than just the traditional archival functionality. They expect to be able to ignite productivity and activate their content across channels directly. We’re excited and humbled to see big brands embracing our vision to expand the DAM category into productivity and performance, and take its rightful place in the modern tech stack.”

Customer Growth

The exponential growth Tenovos has experienced over the past year was due in large part to platform adoption by notable enterprise brands across industries, including CPG, retail, direct-to-consumer, and media & entertainment.

“We’ve long recognized the importance of having a DAM that could not only organize our content but also help us manage our complex rights agreements,” said Claudia Ortiz, Senior Digital Asset Manager of Amazon XCM (Cross Channel Marketing), a recent addition to the Tenovos family. “After a thorough evaluation of the market, we chose to work with Tenovos because their tools and capabilities were a great match for our needs. We can’t wait to finish our implementation and start reaping the benefits of the new addition to our ecosystem.”

New Capabilities

Launching several key capabilities last year, the Tenovos platform has expanded well beyond the traditional DAM space to include:

    • Rights Management (Story Rights): a new way to track and govern rights-managed assets and evaluate the value of an asset against the cost of its acquisition and usage
    • Curated Collections (Story Board): microsites that increase efficiency by helping marketers and asset managers quickly create personalized portals that can be shared with agencies, sales teams, clients, or any external partner
    • Automated Interoperability (Story Link): a framework that builds connections between a company’s DAM, the creative software its teams use to create content, and the distribution channels for that content – such as websites, eCommerce, and social media
    • Content Publishing (Content Delivery Network) – a native CDN that allows for approved content to be published across digital channels such as web, ecommerce, and email

Key Executive Hires in 2021

In November, Tenovos announced the arrival of 15-year DAM industry veteran Mark Finch, who joined the company as Vice President of Sales and General Manager for Europe. Finch has been developing the European sales strategy while helping the company scale its operations and footprint across Europe.

In December, Michael Waldron joined the company as Chief Marketing Officer, bringing nearly two decades of marketing leadership experience which he will leverage to drive the company’s growth initiatives, elevating brand awareness and demand among the companies who would most benefit from the platform.

Brand Update

As the company moves into its next phase of growth, Tenovos has sharpened its brand identity and website experience, reinforcing its focus on enterprise B2C brands across CPG, retail, direct-to-consumer, and media & entertainment.

“We wanted our brand to not only encapsulate the vitality our customers inject into their own storytelling but also humanize our approach and be empathetic to the challenges DAM users face,” said Michael Waldron, CMO of Tenovos.

“On that note, we plan on providing insightful best practices and thought leadership to empower marketing and creative teams to be more productive and create engaging content that makes them and their brands stand out.”

Michael Waldron - Tenovos-CMO

Tenovos Welcomes Michael Waldron as Chief Marketing Officer

By Press Releases

Second Executive Addition in 30 Days Highlights Growing Momentum and Traction for Continued Disruption of The Digital Asset Management Category

New YorkDecember 1, 2021 – Tenovos, providers of the modern, data-first Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform that helps brands tell stories that matter, today announced that Michael Waldron has joined the company as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). The addition of Waldron marks the second executive addition to the company within the last 30 days, as the brand continues to gain momentum and market share heading into 2022. As CMO, Waldron will have overall responsibility for all Tenovos growth initiatives, with a specific focus on driving brand awareness and demand generation within enterprise B2C brands in key verticals including CPG, retail and media and entertainment.

With nearly two decades of marketing leadership experience, Waldron brings a unique, first-hand perspective to the table as the leader of Tenovos’ marketing strategy. Prior to joining Tenovos, Waldron served as Vice President of Marketing for Uberflip, where he helped the brand establish a new category for content experience, while scaling the business to record growth despite the pandemic. Prior to Uberflip, Waldron’s roles included Vice President of Marketing for the NewStore mobile retail platform and Director of Global Marketing for Black Duck, which was acquired by Synopsys.

“Due to budget or hiring constraints, marketers are crying out for technology that streamlines the complexity of having brand assets created, approved, governed, and distributed,” added Waldron. “Additionally, most teams don’t have visibility into the performance of these assets across campaigns and channels and it’s this insight that can drive tangible business growth. I joined Tenovos because marketers are constantly being asked to do more with less and justify their impact on business growth and this platform does exactly that.”

“With a growing portfolio of brands that now includes Canadian Tire Corporation, Amazon Prime Video, and Shopbop using our platform, we’ve reached a critical point in our trajectory where we need more horsepower behind our marketing engine to keep up with the momentum of the business,” said D. Scott Bowen, CEO of Tenovos. “Mike brings the perfect mix of domain expertise and leadership to the team that will help us further accelerate our global growth including our recent footprint in the UK. We’re thrilled to have him as a part of the executive team.”

New Addition to Executive Team Highlights Growing Demand in European Market for Innovative DAM Platform

New YorkNovember 2, 2021 – Tenovos, providers of the modern, data-first Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform that helps brands tell stories that matter, today announced that Mark Finch has joined the company as Vice President of Sales and General Manager for Europe. Finch will be responsible for driving Tenovos’ European sales strategy, while helping the company scale it’s operations and footprint across Europe.

A 15-year DAM industry veteran, Finch brings a wealth of experience and a strong track record of helping companies adopt agile technologies that cut costs and grow revenue. Prior to Tenovos, Finch worked as VP Sales, EMEA at Moxie, helping some of Europe’s largest organizations improve online conversion using real-time behaviour analytics. Finch also spent the early days of his career with Artesia Technologies, where he drove significant value with customers as the DAM category moved into the cloud and integrated with key back-office systems. The addition of Finch is in response to growing momentum for Tenovos as operations and demand for its DAM platform Tenovos Active Story Management scale beyond North America.

“Europe has become increasingly strategic for Tenovos because many of our large customers have operations in that market, and we’re seeing increased interest in our platform across European countries in general,” said D. Scott Bowen, CEO of Tenovos. “Mark’s leadership, industry experience and strategic relationships will be invaluable as we aim to expand our footprint across Europe and increase market share for the company.”

“I see a huge opportunity for customers to move to the latest and greatest cloud-based platform,” added Finch. “But the most exciting aspect of Tenovos from my perspective is witnessing the convergence of media management, ecommerce and AI to add true value for customers by helping them understand the performance of their investments in media. I’m thrilled to be a part of the team and I look forward to contributing to the company’s success.”

Tenovos Unveils Two New Extensions for Active Story Management Platform

By Press Releases

New Functionality Empowers Marketers to More Effectively Manage Content Rights and Streamline Secure Content Sharing with External Partners

New YorkSeptember 1, 2021 – Tenovos, the modern, data-first Digital Asset Management (DAM) provider helping brands tell stories that matter, today announced the availability of Story Rights and Story Boards – two new extensions for its Active Story Management (ASM)™ platform. The extensions help marketers save time and money by empowering them to effectively manage content rights and streamline content sharing with external partners and agencies.

“Innovation is a key pillar in our ongoing strategy and we continue to iterate on our platform to offer more value to our users,” said D. Scott Bowen, CEO of Tenovos. “These new extensions are a direct reflection of evolving market needs that we see from our growing customer base.”

Available today to all current and future Tenovos users, Story Rights and Story Boards are designed to create immediate efficiencies that directly benefit a brand’s bottom line. Story Rights provides readily-available visibility into the usage rights of digital assets which can eliminate money wasted on duplicate assets and/or costly rights violations. Users of the Story Rights extension will be able to:

  • Access usage rights instantly — no searching through email threads with creators
  • Request access with an easy form that streamlines the approval process
  • Get reminded when a license is about to expire and needs renewal or retirement
  • Evaluate the performance of a given asset against the cost of its acquisition

“With Story Rights, we’re really going beyond the reach of the traditional DAMs by supporting the entire asset lifecycle on a single, streamlined platform that keeps all relevant rights management details at your team’s fingertips, right where they need them to be,” Added Bowen. “By pairing critical rights and creation data with assets from the start, Story Rights enables all aspects of rights management and governance, including the tracking of agreements, creators, channel usage and locale.”

The Story Boards extension also creates value and reduces inefficiencies by helping marketers and asset managers quickly create personalized portals that can be shared with agencies, sales teams, clients or any external partner. Users can quickly and easily curate collections to guide partners to exactly the content they need while eliminating time wasted copying assets into redundant folders and sharing links.

“Story Boards was tailor-made for brands with a complex, dispersed content supply chain,” said Bowen. “When we architected this extension, we were specifically thinking about brands with distributed sales teams, a wide network of external partners or several external agencies. Brands invest an incredible amount in crafting and maintaining a consistent image. Story Boards helps ensure that little things like complicated folder structures and broken links won’t prevent valuable content assets from reaching the intended audience.”
